For Jim Kyle being Patient Centered and Results Oriented means results he can use, on a budget he can live with.
Our philosophy is exemplified in our featured patient this month Mr. Jim Kyle. Jim moved to the sunshine state with his wife after being downsized out of an industrial job he’d had for many years was eliminated. Many years of exposure to noise on the job had left Jim with a significant high frequency hearing loss. The results of which, make it difficult for Jim to understand speech in those more complex sound environments.
After listening to him, meeting his wife and spending just a little time with them it was clear that here was a quality individual, in need of help, who just can’t quite qualify for financing new gear, due to circumstances largely out of his control.
Well helping folks hear better is what we are all about here at A Advanced Hearing Care.
By maintaining a significant stock of used and reconditioned hearing aids we were able to put Jim into a pair of used, reconditioned, hearing aids that were top of their line just a couple of years ago at a fraction of the cost of new.
Jim came by earlier this week and dropped off some pastry for us as a small way of saying thanks. Seems he’s landed a nice job at Grimaldi Candies who’ve just gotten a major new contract that will require them to expand, providing an opportunity for growth with a great local company.
We were able to help Jim because we’d just upgraded one of our existing patients to the latest in our industry’s offerings, which provided the trade-in we were then able to refit to Jim.
Today’s better equipment provides not only great sound processing, and incredible understanding in those noisier environments, but is also much more rugged, modularized, programmable, and of lasting value. As this gear ages, if it is well cared for, it is capable of providing years of service beyond when it is considered new. By simply changing receivers (the speaker part that goes in your ear) we can easily reprogram this used equipment to fit a very wide range of patient needs.
By demonstrating the latest our industry has to offer to our existing patient base along with those folks who come to us for repair and reconditioning of their existing equipment, we are provided with a constant, ongoing source of quality gear that still has lots of useful life in it. We make it available to folks at a fraction of the cost of new.
Not only does today’s gear have more lasting value than ever before, because of that, trade-ins are worth more now than at any time in our industry’s history. If, you’ve got an instrument that has a couple of years on it, but is still in working order, and you’d like to see what it’s worth, we’d like to take a look, and give you an answer.
